Actionmedics provides training for groups and individuals in basic first aid. Our courses are designed and delivered by activists who come from various healthcare and training backgrounds. A significant number of us are healthcare professionals working in the NHS or other healthcare settings. Both the content and delivery is reviewed on a regular basis and updated in line with best practice guidlines.
Where possible the course content is entirely grounded within the latest clinical research. There is however no research funding nor state interest in exploring the management of chemical weapons exposure in civilians. Therefore necessarily what we teach is based on our broad collective experience as medics and activists .
We run a variety of sessions on a donation basis. If you want to get trained email us using contact at actionmedics.net. We tend to ask people to organise a group and a venue and then we will turn up and run the training. We are all volunteers.
This is not a certificated training, mainly for a whole host of legal reasons.
Everyone needs Basic Life Support training as well as this training.
If you want a certificated training we recomend a Wilderness medicine training or if that is unachievable the First Aid at Work.
We have run trainings in various European countries, in Russia, the US and Mexico but we are UK based and would usually refer you to other street/action medic groups nearer to you.
